Agile Games Alpes is intended for all agilists looking for an opportunity to test new games, run "crash tests", experiment, facilitate all kinds of serious games (or not).
This event isn't that old (#4), but it's well known and recognized enough for a simple post on social networks to be enough to blow up ticket sales on the big day.
For those who don't know, it takes place in the Alps over 2 days, which is enough to exhaust the participants in general ;) and that's ALL! Well, food and lodging are provided. But for the rest, it's an open games forum.
This year, the chosen venue was the Savel campsite in Mayres-Savel, on the banks of the Drac. We were welcomed by the non-orga team who explained the rules of the game for these 48 hours.

I'm not going to list all the games that were played there, because there are too many and I only took part in a very small portion. So here are a few bulk photos to make you want to come next year.

As usual, the atmosphere was very friendly and caring. The Thursday evening meal allowed us to catch up in a convivial moment, tell each other what we've become since last year (yes, there are a few regulars) and make very enriching new encounters. This first evening was relatively quiet, saving strength for the rest of the events, but musical instruments came out to liven it all up.
The next morning, after a good breakfast, the participants self-organize under the benevolent eye of the non-organizers. The program shapes itself in a handful of minutes, you find everything, "ice breakers" galore, games about the uselessness of long-term planning, more playful or very serious games, LEGOs, introspective ones and much more. Lunch gives us a well-deserved break before resuming activities.
The venue being well equipped, swimmers enjoyed the pool while the sun was out. A few Canadair water bombers even came to say hello in the river right next door. Impressive to see these craft skim the water for a few seconds before taking off again into the air. With no fire to report in the surroundings, it seems it was a training run. Later in the afternoon, the pool table was put to use. The summer weather allowed everyone to enjoy the huge terrace and its surrounding activities. Some even ventured out in a canoe on the Drac!
The evening meal signals the end of hostilities and a few moments of relaxation for the rest of the evening. I found that this year, things stayed fairly quiet and didn't end in the dead of night.
The next day, you could feel a slump in form, except for those who went for their morning run in this wonderful setting. Others went a bit later to a Himalayan footbridge not far from there. But the bulk of the troops valiantly continued their experiments until lunch. Finally, this last afternoon was short, knowing that a fair number of participants came from far away and had some driving ahead of them before leaving this idyllic bubble among agilists.
Thanks to all the participants for this breath of oxygen and inspiration during this too-short span of time.
